Phyllis Barker Burgon
Midvale - Phyllis Larill Barker Burgon, 66, died January 3, 1980 at home.
Born March 2, 1913 in Taylorsville, utah to Daniel and Stella Ann Morris Barker. Married Harold Albert Burgon, June 13, 1932, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served leadership positions in ward and stake Relief Society, Primary, and Sunday School. Completed a Stake Mission. Recently returned with her husband from the Melbourne-Australia Mission. Employed as receptionist of Z.C.M.I. Beauty Salon.
Survivors: husband, Midvale; sons, of Bountiful, Sandy, and Midvale; two daughters; 20 grandchildren: brothers and sisters, Gene, Vearl, Morris, Ronald, Cline barker; Mrs. Clifford (Melba) Jones; Mrs. Dean (Lila) Maughan; Mrs. Grant (Arvilla) Zaugg; Mrs. Roy (Janice) Hardy.
Funeral services Saturday 12:00 noon in the Union Third Ward LDS Chapel, 7500 South 700 East, Midvale. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State. Friday from 6-8 p.m. and at the Ward Chapel one hour prior to services. Burial: Murray City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to the Community Nursing Service, 1370 So. West Temple, Salt Lake City.
