A. H. Munro, of this village then lived in Canada, and took part in the "Battle of the Windmill" on the side of the British forces.

The present dam in Antwerp village was built by Mr. Munro in 1861 — 33 years ago.
It must have been well built to have stood so long, and passed over its breast so many
million feet of lumber.

Alexander's father was John Munro. Seventeen possible father's named John in Canada of approximate age. Eleven of them in Ontario.

Alexander and Katherine married in Matilda in 1841 or 1842, they later about 1850 I believe moved with their children to Antwerp NY in Jefferson County.
