Amy Helen Ray Hargis, 68, Route 4, Huntsville, died April 28 in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born May 15, 1906 in Madison County, the daughter of Ira B. and Ella Hayden Duvall.

Survivors are her husband, Hugh Hargis, of Marble; four daughters, Mary Helen Ray, Huntsville, Ina Howard, Broken Arrow, Okla., Eariene Evans, Wichita, Kansas and Janet Harris, Fayetteville; one son, Donald Hargis, Lebannen, Illinois; three brothers, Austin and Noble Duvall, Huntsville, and Benton Duvall, Snoqualmie, Wash.; two sisters, Clara Grubb, Huntsville and Beatrice Isom, Twin Falls, Idaho; 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday,April 30, at 10 o'clock in the Brashears Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jake Gage officiating. Interment was in the Alabam Cemetery under the direction of Brashears.

Pallbearers were Wayne Holt, Denten Grubb, Harold Duvall, Hugh Walden, Bernard Baker and Earl Hambay.
