"Dennis" as he wanted to be called, graduated from Vega High School in 1963. In September 1963 he served his country with the Navy aboard the USS Chemung in active duty in Vietnam and the Phillippines. He was released from active duty September 1967 and released from the Naval Reserves in September 1971. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was involved in road construction for a while then worked as a mechanic in his own Garage. He then became a Deputy for the Oldham County Sheriff's Department. After six years, he and his wife, Fern became owners/operator of a cattle truck and hauled cattle until his death after a 13 month battle with cancer at the age of 55. He had a daughter Charity, and two step-daughters Robin Schiller and Rhonda Reagan. Also four grandchildren, Christopher Gouldy, Brittany, Bridgette and Brandon Reagan.
