Fred was an only child. He lost his father at the end of world war two, when the Japanese POW "Hell Ship" Oryoku Maru, he was imprisioned on was bombed and all were lost. Fred followed in his fathers foot steps he enlisted in the Navy and roused to the rank of CMDR USN, Navy medical services.
