JOSEPH A. MATTINGLY, age 71, of 2712 Cleveland St., Hessville, Ind., passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 1970 at St. Margaret Hospital. Survivors: wife, Addilee; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Eddie) Kendrick of Munster; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, William of Hessville, Gilbert and Gene of Elizabethtown, Ky., two sisters, Mrs. Frances Brown and Mrs. Bessie Akers, also of Elizabethtown, Ky. Friends are invited to call at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., Hessville, Ind., Friday, 7 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, 2 to 5 p.m. after which the remains will be removed to Elizabethtown, Ky. Funeral services will be Sunday, Oct. 18 at the First Christian Church of Elizabethtown, Ky. Funeral services Sonora Cemetery, Sonora, Ky. He had been a resident of the Calumet Region for the past 46 years, was with the IHB Railroad 43 years as a car inspector; a member of the Hessville Christian Church.
