Civil War Hero's Funeral Today

Funeral services for Asbury F. Haynes, eighty-eight, Civil War veteran and holder of a congressional Medal of Honor, who died Wednesday at the Retsil Soldiers' Home, will be held in Retsil at the Soldiers' Home Chapel at 10 a.m. today.

Interment will be at Lake View Cemetery, here, at noon.

He had lived in Washington forty-two years, and thirty-eight in Seattle.

He was formerly a member of Stevens Post of the G. A. R. in Seattle and later joined the Retsil Post. For a number of years he was inspector on the first naval dry dock at Bremerton.

Haynes is survived by his widow, Ida R.; three daughters, Mrs. Sarah H. Magill of Juneau, Alaska; Mrs. Ida A Voegele of Seattle, and Mrs. Helen Kelly of South Tacoma, and one son, Fred A. Haynes of Seattle, and three grandchildren.
