Robert Ray Bevis was born Nov 5, 1939, to Doyle and Minnie Bevis, of the Pinehill community, where he lived all his life. He passed away at his residence July 27, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Rose Hamm Bevis; son, Connor Bevis; stepson, Jonathan Blake Dowdy; sisters, Lucille Smith(Delmer), Rose Winslow (Todd), Vera Smith, Eva Mae Myrzerik; brother-in-law, Clifford Hamm (Pam); sister-in law, Wanda Bevis;
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers;brothers, Buck and J.D., sisters, Joyce Dawson, Venue Laverne, "Tootie" Stabler, and mother-in-law
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea.
He was a former employee of TVA.He was baptized into CHurch of Christ by Brother Fred Dillon. the funeral was Friday, July 30, at Stewartsville church of Christ.
Burial followed in the P{inehill Cemetery, with Wayne Wood, John Henry and Larry Watkins.
