Mrs. Eliza C. Miles died Sunday, Sept. 28, at her home 6 miles east of Kirksville, after an illness of several weeks. Her maiden name was Morse; she was born Oct. 15, 1828, in Maryville, Tenn.; united with the M. E. Church in 1845; was married to R. W. Miles, in Cloverdale, Ind., in 1856. To them were born six children, five of whom are still living, her husband having died several years ago.
The funeral services were conducted at the residence Monday afternoon, by Rev. E. B. Cater. Interment was in the Waddill cemetery.
Deceased was an old resident of Adair county and had many friends and acquaintances over the county, who regret her demise. She was a good woman.
