Louis Edward Brezee was born in Aubura, Nebraska March 18, 1889 and died of Typhoid Fever in Holyoke, Colorado at 7:30 AM on Friday, the 28th day of October, 1921 at the young age of 32 years old.

When he was but a month old his parents moved to Red Willow County, Nebraska, returning again to Nemaba County after six years and here Louis grew to manhood.

On March 13, 1912, he was united in holy matrimony with Miss Flossie Maude Johnson of Clear Lake, South Dakota to which one child was born, Howard Vernon, who survives with his mother to mourn the seemingly untimely death of a father and husband.

Louis was the first of his father's family to pass away. There remains his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. George William Brezee. Four sisters: Mrs. C W Richardson (Stella Mae) of Venango, Nebraska, Mrs. E M Long (Nellie Arvilla) of Grangeville, Idaho, Mrs. A J Meritt (Anne Belle) or Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Vernon Clark (Lillie Fern) of Venango, Nebraska and four brothers: William David of Akron, Colorado, and Roy Andrew, George Lyman Jr and Benjamin Forest all of Crab Orchard, Nebraska to share with the wife the sorrow on this separation.

Mr. Brezee and family have been residents of Holyoke, Colorado for a little more than two years during which time they have endeared themselves to all who knew them.

He was converted in early manhood but both he and his wife renewed their early vows during the young folks week of prayer in the M E Church of Holyoke last January and since that time there has been no one in the church more faithful and devoted to every interest of the Kingdom than he.

He has gained the immortal crown for which he began to strive ten years ago. But his gain is a loss to the whole community and we all join in expressing our grief and consequent sympathy with the bereaved family.

A memorial service was held for him in the M E Church in Holyoke on Sunday evening October 30, 1921. The body being left at the Undertaking Parlors where all his friends were welcome to visit him on Sunday afternoon.

On Monday morning, October 31, 1921, the body was shipped to Crab Orchard, Nebraska the home of his parents. On Tuesday, November 1, 1921, the funeral services were held at the United Brethren Church in Crab Orchard after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery south of Crab Orchard, Nebraska.

Comment: Just 83 days after Louis Edward Brezee passed away, his second child was born on January 19, 1922. Her name was Lovonna Arlene Brezee.
