Died, at 2 a.m., July 11, 1901, Mrs. Parmelia Nail, aged 82 years.
Mrs. Nail, whose maiden name was Parmelia Skeen, was the wife of the late Alexander Nail, who died about four years ago, and the stepmother of Mrs. Oliver P. Mays, Willis, Ike and Presley Nail. She leaves several grandchildren, among them Mrs. J. J. Darneille and Mrs. Dave Strome. A nephew, Wm. Skeen, of Palouse, Wash., was at her bedside when she died. Cancer was the immediate cause of death.
Mrs. Nail was a pioneer, having come to Oregon from Arkansas in 1853.
The funeral will take place tomorrow (Friday) morning, at 10 o'clock, from the residence of Oliver P. Mays, nine miles west of town. Interment in Mays cemetery.
