David J. Zahradnick,age 74,of Eagle Lake,passed away Saturday,November 14,1987 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Eagle Lake.
Funeral services were held Tuesday,November 17,from the Dulany Funeral Home in Eagle Lake with Pastor Allen Flathmann,of Grace Lutheran Church,officiating.Burial was at Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake.
Mr.Zahradnick was born October,1913 in Sealy to Ferdinand and Maria Hinze Zahradnick.He married Mary Ella Schmidt in Columbus on November 8,1932 and had just celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Mr.Zahradnick was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Eagle Lake and had been active in the American Legion.He served with the U.S. Navy during W.W.II.
He was preceded in death by his parents,and two grandchildren,Dave Allen Hunsick and Diana Sue Newsom.
Survivors include,wife,Mrs.Mary Ella Zahradnick of Eagle Lake;daughters,Daphne Vasut of Garwood,Dorothy Newsom of Eagle Lake and Evelyn Hunick of Jacinto City;son,Robert Zahradnick of Richmond,Virginia;13 grandchildren;three great-grandchildren;and numerous nieces and nephews.and a host of loved ones.
Pallbearers were Paul Vasut,Ray Zahradnick,Rusty Cook,Robert,Tobin,Carl Seaholm,III,and Marvin Hunick.Honorary pallbearers were Tim Braun,Mike Thomas,Phillip Hartman and Emil Vasut,Jr.
