What I have put together about my great great great grandparents:
David Edwin Frink was born on 15 Jun 1835 in New York. He died on 22 May 1877 in Lenawee Co, MI. He married Emily A. Chase.

Emily A. Chase, daughter of Levi Howard Chase and Anna M. Haviland, was born on 03 Feb 1837 in Raisin twp, Lenawee, MI. She died on 15 Jul 1890 in Jefferson, Hillsdale, MI.

1840 US Federal Census
Emily was living in Raisin, Lenawee, MI with the following family members: 1 white male 30 to 39 (father Levi), 2 white males 5 to 9 (brothers Daniel and Amzi), 1 white male under 5 (brother Artemas), 1 white female 30 to 39 (mother Anna), 2 white females 10 to 14 (sisters Eliza and Laura), 2 white females 5 to 9 (sisters Phoebe and Sally) and 1 white female under 5 (Emily).

1850 US Federal Census
Emily was living in Raisin, Lenawee, MI with her parents Levi and Anna Chase and siblings: Eliza, Phebe, Sally, Daniel, Amzi, Artemas, Catharine, Levi and Franklin. She is attending school and could read and write. Her father was a farmer.

We know that at some point around the middle of the 1850s Emily Chase married David Frink. No marriage records from Lenawee county, MI are available on either Ancestry or FamilySearch at this time – it will require hands-on searching at the source to hopefully find this record.

1860 US Federal Census
David and Emily were living in Raisin, Lenawee, MI with their daughter Hellen. David’s occupation is given as ‘farm laborer’ with his personal estate valued at $180.

I have been unable to find the family in the 1870 census; I am certain that they were no longer in Raisin township as I went through all 42 pages of the census record for that township.

We know that David E. Frink died in 1877, but again only the 1875 Lenawee, MI death records have been reported electronically at this time so a hand search will also be needed for his death record. If that record can be found it may contain his parent’s names and allow us to continue the line back further. We are fairly certain that he was buried in the Raisin Center Friends Cemetery where his wife was eventually buried - but there is no headstone or record to confirm this.

1880 US Federal Census
Emily was living in Marena, Hodgeman, KS with her daughter Nellie and her husband Anthony Snyder. Emily was widowed with no occupation listed; her son-in-law was a farmer.
