John T. Allen of Route 1, Junction City passed away February 24, 1967 at the age of 75 He was born at Junction City, September 9, 1891, and was united in marriage to Helena Sorensen at Junction City October 1, 1913. He was a member of the Franklin Christian Church. Surviving are his wife; a son, Robert of Junction City; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ellis of Springfield; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Grace Humphrey of Eugene. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28, at 1:30 p.m. in the Junction City Chapel of the Murphy Funeral Homes. Reverends Duane Sabin and Leland Morgan officiating. Interment Franklin Cemetery. Those wishing may, in lieu of flowers, contribute in his memory to the Franklin Christian Church Memorial Fund. Friends may call at the chapel on Monday, between 5:00-8:30 p.m.

JUNCTION CITY -- John T. Allen of Route 1 Junction City passed away Feb. 24, 1967 at the age of 75. He was born at Junction City, Sept. 9, 1891.
John and Helena Sorenson were married October 1, 1913 at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.C. Sorensen.
John had lived his entire life in this area. He went to Eugene Bible College and Eugene Business College. He farmed for several years in the Alvadore area before joining his brothers Jasper, Rosco and Pat, who already farmed the home place and the surrounding area. He had a life long interest in soil conservation.
John had belong(sic) to the Franklin Church of Christ for fifty-seven years. He was also a charter member of the Franklin Grange.
Surviving are his wife Helena a son Robert of Route one, Junction City; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ellis of Springfield, 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 3 great grandsons; a sister, Mrs. Grace Humphrey of Eugene. Mrs. Humphrey iw the last remaining Allen daughter.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 1:30 p.m. in the Junction City Chapel of the Murphy Funeral Homes with Duane Sabin and Leland Morgan officiating. Interment was in the Franklin Cemetery.
