Religious services were scheduled from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off today for Octave F. Bruce Sr., 77, a native and resident of Cut Off, who died in Galliano Tuesday at 7:55 a.m.

He was the husband of Amy Vegas Bruce; father of Eura Sr., Octave Jr. and Norbert Bruce; brother of Leonce, Leon and Joseph Bruce Jr., Octaviea Toups, Leona Toups, Philoman Bruce, Josephine Guidry and Julia Autin. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister Nora Cheramie.
