CHESHIRE - Jean K. Cheshire, 76, of 93082 High Street, Cheshire, passed away September 15, 1983, in Eugene. She was born January 9, 1907, in Grenoch (sic), Scotland. She had been a resident of this community for 52 years. Her many attributes included a dedication and love for painting. For the past 20 years she dedicated her life to promoting and inspiring interest in the field of scenic and wildlife art. Her many exhibits have been on display at various civic functions within the community. She was also found and life member of the Junction City Art League. On February 14, 1957 at Monroe she was united in marriage to Lynn Cheshire, who survives her; also surviving are her children: Charles B. McGlinchey of Eugene; Charmain Vertz of Roseburg; step-daughters: Lynnette Short of Junction City, Alta LaPLante of Veneta and Jeannie Bonham of White City; her brother, Hugh Kennedy of Vancouver, British Columbia; her sister, Margaret Andrews of Abbotsford, British Columbia; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Monday, September 19, 1983, at 1 p.m. in the Franklin Cemetery, with Reverend Virginia Curtis officiating. Visitation will be at MURPHY-MUSGROVE FUNERAL CHAPEL, Junction City, Sunday, September 18, 1983 from 1 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Junction City Art League or your favorite charity in care of the chapel.
