Jack B. Maxwell, 68, of Pana, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at 3:14 p.m. in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. He was born August 5, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Harvey James and Mabel Leora Johnston Maxwell. Jack came from Indiana and lived in Pana for the past 9 years. Jack loved fishing and Nascar racing. He was also an avid shuffle board player, and was a member of the Pana Sportsman's Club.
Jack married Rose M. Reiss. She preceded him in death on April 28, 2002.
Jack is survived by his children: Rebecca Wade, Rochester, IN; Kyle H. Maxwell, Pana, IL; Leora Renee Maxwell, Mt. Auburn, IL; and Samantha Hippensteel & husband Jim, Rochester, IN; 5 Grandchildren: Donavan Jackson Maxwell, Sheila Wade, Morgan Wade, Jessica Hippensteel, & Dylan Hippensteel; and sister: Sheila Mack, Pillsbury, PA. He was preceded in death by his father, wife and brother, Wayne Maxwell.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2007 from 4 to 6 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. The family requests casual dress of jeans, t-shirts, & hats.
