COHOES - Harold A. Casey, 85, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at his home in Cohoes with his family at his side.
Born in Watervliet on May 5, 1925, he was the son of the late Earl and Adelaide Stephenson Casey.
He was a graduate of Watervliet High School.
He was employed for over 40 years by Niagara Mohawk in Albany as a chief shift operator before retiring in 1987.
He was a member of the 25 year Club of National Grid and was a communicant of the former St. Bernard's Church in Cohoes.
He enjoyed bowling, was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved his family.
He is the beloved husband of 58 years of Carolyn Gabriel Casey; loving father of Harold J. (Carolyn) Casey of Troy, Henry (Peggy) Casey of Troy, Steven C. (Lenny) Casey of the Philippines, John J. (Rebecca) Casey of Cohoes, Frank A. (Karen) Casey of Maine, NY, James M. (Tracey) Casey of Cohoes and Cathleen Ann Casey of Watervliet; brother of Augusta Fredrickson of Virginia and the late Joseph Casey. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 8:45 a.m. from Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Brigid's Church, Watervliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in the American Saints Mausoleum at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands
