James Wilbur Warner, 83, of 136 Spartan Drive died Saturday at Providence Hospital. Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Preston Brooks and Alice Derrick Warner. He was a member of the Lutheran Church Men at Bethel Lutheran Church of White Rock where he was treasurer of the Adult Sunday School Class. Mr. Warner was a member of Boyleston Masonic Lodge 123. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Melba Price Warner; a daughter, Mrs. Tommy (Fay) Cline of Columbia; three stepsons, Jimmy Roberts of Gilbert, Stanley Roberts of Lexington and Tommy Roberts of Brandon, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. W. K. (Ola) Taylor of Leesville; and three grandchildren. Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Bethel Lutheran Church of White Rock, conducted by the Rev. Guy C. Cruse and the Rev. Donald E. Woolly. Pallbearers will be William Easterling, Robert P. Chanon, Robert O. Richardson, Grover Seigler, Robert Spradley and Roy Ragsdale. The family suggests that whose who wish may make memorials to the Bethel Lutheran Church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel, is in charge. © The State, Columbia, SC, 26 Apr 1981
