DONALD S. REED, 90, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010, at Parkview Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, he work-ed as a cost accountant with GE for 39 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Knights of Columbus for 59 years. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing cards, and was passionate about his faith. He is survived by his wife, Irene Reed of Fort Wayne; sons, Edward J. (Joan) Reed of Leo and James S. (Tamara) Reed of Roanoke; daughters, Carol M. (Ralph) Curtin of Mustang, Okla. and Janet C. (Rick) Craney of Fort Wayne; brother, Stephen (Judy) Reed of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Maurice Reed and Geraldine Reed, Katherin Binder. Joseph Reed, Eugene Reed and Phyllis Ehinger. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Saint Anne Home Chapel, 1900 Randallia Drive, with Fr. Jack Overmyer officiating. Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Saint Anne Nursing Home or Masses.
