"Mrs. Elizabeth M. Shaub, eighty-two, widow of Samuel C. Shaub, died Monday at 5:15 p. m. at the home of her son-in-law, Herbert M. Hoffmeier, 849 East Orange street, of complications after an illness of four months. She was born September 16, 1850, in Pequea township, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Shaub Mehaffey and resided in this city for more than fifty years. She was a member of St. Paul's Reformed church for many years. Her husband has been deceased for twenty years.
These children survive: Mrs. Ella Gerlitzki, John M. Shaub, Mrs. Herbert Hoffmeier and Mrs. P. Harry Wohlsen, all of this city; Samuel C. Shaub, jr., Lancaster, Route 6, and Mrs. Grant Amway, Coatesville. Twenty-one grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and a sister, Miss Emma Mehaffey, of this city, also survive.
Services will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hoffmeier, 849 East Orange street, Thursday at 2 p. m. with burial in Greenwood cemetery. Friends may call at the home Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p. m."
