Singer. Nicolás Urcelay Alonzo, also known as "The Caruso of Mayab," was a Mexican tenor. Its repertoire includes opera arias such as "Che gelida manina," "La boheme," and "La donna e mobile" to lyrical pieces like "O sole mio" and "Mattinata," as well as pieces of the universal lyrical repertoire, as "Mattinata" and "O sole mio." He also sang popular songs as "Granada," "Toledo," "Cuerdas de mi guitarra," and "Españolerías." He made several successful tours in countries such as Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and the United States, where he sang for President Harry S. Truman, during a visit by Mexican President Miguel Aleman at the White House.
