CUMBERLAND - Wanda L. Mattingly, 77, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 at her residence.
Born April 29, 1931 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late James D. and Leona Elizabeth (Seymour) True. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles True. Mrs. Mattingly was a homemaker and was a member of the Calvary Bible Church in Ellerslie where she was a former member of the church choir. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, M. Richard Mattingly; two sons, Michael R. Mattingly and wife Sandra, Short Gap, W.Va. and William Gregory Mattingly and wife Marlen, Orlando, Fla.; one brother, James Junior True, Cumberland; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Mattingly, Christopher Mattingly and wife Megan, Aaron Mattingly, Marcus Mattingly, Ashley Mattingly, Matthew Mattingly and wife Daniell, Rosy Mattingly and Emma Mattingly. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, scarpellifh.com on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted at the Calvary Bible Church on Friday at 11 A.M. with Pastor Ken Korns and Pastor Greg Miller officiating. There will be one hour visitation prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
