Clifford Wayne Hoover, 77, Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 26, 2010. Clifford was born in Porter, Oklahoma, to William Hoover and Beulah (Corder) Hoover, on November 20, 1932. After High School, he served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Clifford was married to Melva Hollingshead on November 18, 1954, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Together they enjoyed over 55 years of marriage. Clifford worked and retired from McDonnell Douglas as an Expediter. He loved to read and listen to Gospel music on the radio. Clifford also enjoyed the times that he could spend with his beloved family. He was a member of the View Acres Baptist Church in Berryhill. Clifford's wonderful attitude and great outlook on life will be missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Beulah Hoover and 4 brothers. Clifford is survived by his wife Melva of the home; daughter Susan Graves and husband Mark of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; sons Robert Hoover and wife Rozetta of Branson, Missouri, Troy Hoover and wife Doreen of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and David Hoover of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren Joshua Hoover and wife Jennifer, Sgt. Aaron Hoover and wife MaryAnn, Sgt. Nathaniel Hoover and wife Francesca, PFC Joseph Hoover, Kara Graves, Lynda Graves, Lowell Graves, Joel Graves, and Maxwell Graves; brother Jerrell Hoover and wife Beatrice of Paradise, Texas; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services for Clifford will be Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. in the View Acres Baptist Church, Berryhill, Oklahoma. Rev. Ray Hollingshead and Rev. Steven Yowell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Visitation for Clifford will be Tuesday, July 27, 2010, from 12 Noon until 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, July 28, 2010, from 8:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. The family will greet friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
