Jessica Lee Caldwell, 20, of Bedford, Va., died on Friday, July 23, 2010, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Jessica was born on November 9, 1989, in Alleghany County, Va., the daughter of the Bill and Vikki Graybill. Jessica was a member of Community Advent Christian Church in Roanoke. She was a 2008 Graduate of Staunton River High School. She was an E.M.T. and an active member of Chamblissburg Rescue Squad. She attended Central Virginia Community College. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Ryan; a beloved sister, Lindsay Caldwell and soon to be brother-in-law, Tracy Maxfield; her grandparents, Lee Roy and Barbara Vess and Bill and Betty Graybill; two special uncles and a special aunt, Bradlee Vess, and Dave and Sharon Franklin; four cousins, Eric and Jacob Vess, and Andrew and Emily Franklin; a very special greataunt, Doris McPeak; two adopted grandmas, Betty Bowles and Betty Klutz; an adopted "Little Sis my Aimee" Aimee Bowles; her three puppies, Squirt, Clancy and even puddles; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins; and all of the Chamblissburg Rescue Squad family.
"Don't be sad for me. I got to go to heaven. It has been my pleasure and joy here, so remember me for my skills, running calls, smiling, my love for family, my respect, joy, my loyalty but do not remember me for sadness, cancer, or anything that is not blessed and happy. I will see you all again and until then you are all in my heart here in heaven. I love you Lindsay. Be strong and stay that way, till I see you again."

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, July 29, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Central Advent Christian Church, 3515 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, Va., and from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the Community Advent Christian Church. A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Community Advent Christian Church, 4512 Old Mountain Road, NE, Roanoke, Va., with the Pastor T.G. Ayers, Pastor John Hodgen, Ric Fucearelli, and Gary Sutliffe officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, Va.
