Henry BARNEY, age 18 years, enrolled as a private in Capt. BILL's Co., 7th Regiment Wisconsin Infantry at Lodi, Columbia County, Wisconsin on 12 June 1861. He was wounded in the knee 1 July 1863 at Gettysburg, Pa.; spent some time in the hospital; returned to active duty and was captured, 19 October 1863, at the battle of Haymarket, Va.; he was imprisoned on Belle Island, Andersonville, and Florence, S.C.; and was paroled and discharged 28 March 1865.
