Peter F. Galligan, 55 years old, for years a prominent figure in Chicago politics, died yesterday at his residence, 523 South Morgan street, of peritonitis, He was born in the Nineteenth ward and served two terms as state representative and one as state senator. For a number of years he was connected with the officer of the clerk of the Appellate court. Mr. Galligan was ill for about a year. At the time of the last national Democratic convention he was forbidden to travel by his physician. "It's probably the last trip I'll be making, so I'm going to make it," Galligan said, and he did. Mr. Galligan is survived by his widow. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's church on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment at Calvary.
