Son of Rev. Dr. Samuel Simon and Mary Catherine Steenbergen Schmucker. Graduated from Pennsylvania College, class of 1863. Married Helen J. Bridges in Nov. of 1869. He was Judge of the Court of Appeals, and had lived at 1712 Park Ave. from where his funeral was held after his death in Union Protestant Infirmary.
