Bae was a God fearing Baptist Christian. She was very loving person. She treated her children and her pride and joy, her grandchildren with tender loving care. She was a excellent cook.

She had a lot of what not's and would keep her house emaciate. About the only time she would get cross with the grandchildren was if they made a mess in the house. She would tell them "don't go making a mess in the house".

She prepared milk from their cows and sold it in pint, quart and gallon jugs, she used the paper caps (some people will not even remember them) in the tops and she also sold eggs to the neighbors.

She had two White Milk Salt Cellars Hens on Nest which she keep her money in, one for her egg money and one for her milk money. They sat on a shelf in the kitchen by the door going into the dining room.

After Church everyone would go her house for Sunday lunch. Most of the time she would serve fried chicken, mash potatoes, Spanish rice, okra and tomatoes, black eye peas or English pea salad, cornbread and home made rolls, of course deserts like banana pudding, lemon meringue, apple, cherry pies and cakes. The grand kids all like going there for all the wonderful food.

Terry and Buddy stole a Apple pie from her kitchen one time and went out behind the barn and ate it all, Terry said they brought the pie pan back. She fussed at them for taking the pie.

She did fuss at Homer about all the money he spent on his horses and cows. She would tell him "you spend more money on the animals than you do me or the house".
