Funeral services for Ms. Iris "Bootsie" Amy will be at 10 a.m. Monday July 26, 2010 in Reeves Bible Church with the Rev. Glenn Ducharme and the Rev. Mark Land officiating. Interment will follow in LeBlanc Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home of Kinder.

Ms. Amy, 54, of Reeves entered eternal rest on Firday, July 23, in Allen Parish Hospital in Kinder.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Bankester.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include three sons, Christopher Amy and wife Shannon, and Philip Amy of Lake Charles, Travis Amy of Waco, Texas; her parents, Sam and Delores Bankester of LeBlanc; four brothers, Travis Bankester and wife Nancy of Ringold, Oklahoma, Harry Bankester and wife Linda of Reeves, James Bankester and wife Brenda of Waco, Texas, and Mark Bankester and wife Stephanie of Carville, Louisiana; three sisters, Janis Warren of Sulphur, Rita Byerly and husband Eddy of Vidor, Texas, and Angela Barrett and husband Don of Dry Creek; three grandchildren Brittany Gibbs, Ethan Young, and Alexis Bresofski all of Sulphur.

Friends may call 4-10 p.m. today, July 25, and from 8 a.m. Monday at the church.
