Mrs. Annie M. Swords, 60, of Adel, Ga., died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Memorial Hospital of Adel.

She was born Sept. 27, 1949, in Lanier County to the late Elijah Lee Cook and the late Verdie Griner Cook. She lived in Cook County most of her life and was employed with the Cook Service Center.

Her husband was the late Aubrey Swords.

She is survived by one son, David Swords of Adel and his special friend, Liesa Sirmans of Adel; four stepsons, Raymond Swords of Menlo, Ga., Ronnie Swords of Menlo, Sidney Swords of Menlo and Brian Swords of Atlanta; two stepdaughters, Carol Moore of Batesville, Ark., and Carol Jean Swords of Alabama; one brother, Buddy Griner of Lakeland; 11 step-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren.
A brother, Charles Cook, preceded her in death.
