NATIVE OF TENNESSEE DIED SATURDAY NIGHT
Mrs. M. A. Waters, aged 67, died Saturday night at 12:30. Funeral
services were held at the home of her son, Bennie Waters, at 10 o'clock
Monday morning, conducted by Rev. W. O. Patterson, with interment in the
Moody cemetery.
Mrs. Waters was born January 23, 1870, near Nashville, Tenn. Later she
moved to Arkansas and from there to Texas. She was married to A. J.
Waters in 1894. To this union were born ten children. Her husband and
five children preceded her in death. She made her home with her son,
Jack Waters, having lived in Blooming Grove the last two years. She was
a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are two sons, Bennie and Jack Waters, of Blooming Grove; three
daughters, Winnie Bettie, of Dallas; Mrs. Laura Payne, of Oglesby; Mrs.
Artie Riley, of McGregor, and one step daughter, Mrs. Ella Vines, of
Ennis; two brothers and one sister; 25 grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. McCormick Funeral Service was in charge.
