CORA TENK BROCK-

Cora Tenk was born April 26, 1890, on a farm south of Table Rock. She was the youngest child of a family of three girls and two boys born to James and Mary Tenk. The other children, except Frank, are living yet: Mrs. Christina Blecha lives at Humboldt, Mrs. Anna Fritz lives at Haddam, Kans.

She was christened as an infant into the Catholic church but never worked with that organization. As a child until nearly through the grades she wet to school in the Allison district. She completed common school and graduated from Table Rock high school.

On July 5, 1911, she was united in marriage to Dee Brock of Table Rock. The happy pair moved to Sheridan county where they resided for two years before returning to Table Rock. They have lived here since.

To this union were born two children, Velva Mary, 15 years old last July 20th and Marvin Dale, age 10 February 10th last.

She was a lover of flowers and music. Until this year she has cultivated lots of flowers. She was not a musician but a lover of music. She was a voluminous reader. The books of the Table Rock library have been a source of information and pleasure for her. She had read most of them.

She has not been herself physically for years but has done her work until last spring. She was bedfast only two days. She has always been hopeful and optimistic. she passed away quietly Thursday evening, October 2, 1930.

Time, good neighbors, sacred memories, the cares and joys of life with a faith in a loving Christ and a loving God will gradually make life still worth living to those left to mourn, but with new views of life and perhaps a greater appreciation of each other and of the things that "Mamma" loved so well.

Funeral services were conducted at the home in charge of Rev. Russell.
