GORDON Vivian M. Gordon - an 84 year-old native of Valdosta, GA and resident of Mobile passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Mrs. Gordon was a member of Creekwood Church of Christ and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a genealogy hobbyist who was recognized by the Mobile County Commission for her years of volunteer work with historical documents. Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Gordon, and sister, Evelyn Hunter. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, H.B. Gordon; children, Beth Watson (David) and A.B. Gordon (Reesha); brother, E.W. McDonald (Joy); grandchildren, Michal LaFave, Meg Watson, Heather Gordon, and Andrew Gordon; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, July 26, 2010, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 25, from 3-5 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mobile Christian School Bible Department, 5900 Cottage Hill Rd., Mobile, AL 36609. Condolences may be offered at www.mmg funeral home.com.
