One of six children of Lucy and Benjamin F. Geno. His siblings included: L. W., Edgar M., Delbert V., Lee Andrew, and Minnie B.

In 1890, he was living with his parents and silbings in Indian Territory/Oklahoma. The household included: Benjamin F. Geno, age 40, Lucy C., age 26, L. W., age 16, Marion, age 12, a son, age 8, Delbert, age 5, and Lee, age 1. In 1900, they were in Lexington, Oklahoma (Cleveland County) on a farm they owned. The household included: Benjamin F., born December 1856 in Mississippi; Lucy, born May 1856 in Tennessee; Marion F., born March 1878 in Mississippi; Delbert V., born February 1885 in Tennessee; Aldrew L., born February 1889 in Arkansas; and Minnie B., born November 1893 in Oklahoma.

In 1905, Marion married Pearl P. Robinson. They would eventually have at least nine children: Icy L., Fern, Floretha, Chloris, Lois L, Marion, Jr., Nina J., Elbert F., and Betty L.

In 1910, they had only two children. They were living on a farm they were renting in Lexington, Oklahoma. Marion's younger brother Lee Andrew Geno was living with them. The household included: Marion F., age 32, married once for five years; Pearl P. age 24, born in Texas, married once for five years, two children; Icy Lee, age 4, born in Oklahoma, Fron F., age 2, born in Oklahoma; and Lee A., age 21, born in Arkansas.

In 1920, the family was still on their farm in Lexington. Marion's brother was no longer living with them. He and Pearl had six children at that point, all born in Oklahoma: Icy L., age 13, Fern F., age 12k Floretha, age 9, Chloris E., age 3, Lois L., age 3, and Marion, age 1 3/12.

In 1930, they had bought a farm in Canadian, Oklahoma (Cleveland County). Icy was gone from the household, but they had added three more children: Nina J, age 6, Elbert F, age 3, and Betty L., an infant.
