Della married Wm. Edgar Bishop in Attalla, ab. 1923/24. They lived with his Mother until her death in 1923. She was a housewife all her married life. Edgar died in 1961. She then lived as a widow until her death. Lived all her life in Etowah CO., except her last few yrs in a nursing home near her oldest son, Edward In Tenn.
Edgar and Della's oldest son, Pfc. James Marvin Bishop, was killed in action in Tittling, Germany, April 24, 1945. He was a member of the 21st Armored Infantry Battalion, 11th Armored Division, 3rd Army. He is buried in the Lorraine American Military Cemetery in St. Avold, France.
She and Edgar also had 2 other sons, George Edward and Jerry Austin, both graduates of the U of Ala. Edard marriedd Peggy Wyatt, Jerry married Barbara Dunn(later div) Jerry died in 2010 and is buried in Bakersfield CA, Edward died Sept 30, 2015 and is buried near Chester VA.
She had grandchildren, Marvin A. (Tony) Bishop(Aiken SC), Terri, Pam, Beth,(all in VA) David (Knoxville TN)
Her son Marvin married Sarah Jane Engle (6-10-24, 4-13-77), they had one son, Marvin Anthony Bishop (2-20-1945-----)
