Ellena M. Simpson, whose maiden name was Bromback, was born June 9, 1879; died October 21, 1906, age 27 years, 11 months and 12 days. She was married to Walter Simpson December 23, 1897. To this union three children were born--three sweet little girls. Sister Simpson was a kindhearted mother and wife. She leaves a husband and father, several sisters and brothers, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Sister Simpson was a member of the Baptist church at Mr. Carmel. She obeyed the voice of her Savior and gave her heart to Him, while young, at the age of 13 years, and she was a faithful member until her death. She passed away happy in the triumph of her Saviors love, after requesting her friends to meet her in heaven.
Her funeral was preached by the writer at the Mt. Carmel church to a large congregation of friends and relatives, after which her body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Mt. Carmel by the side of her mother. May the dear sister get her dying request and meet all of her loved ones in heaven where separations will never come, is the prayer of the writer.
