Rebecca was the daughter of Lewis Mitchell and Sara (Crabtree) Mitchell. She was the wife of Nathaniel Mooers and the mother of a large family. All of her children were born in New Brunswick between about 1810 and 1835. She moved to Maine from New Brunswick about 1847.
