Reedsport -- The funeral wll be at 1 p.m. Thursday jan 31 at Dunes Memorial Chapel in Reedsport for Verda Cook of Reedsport, who died Jan. 24 of age-related causes at age 91.
She was born June 9, 1916, in Galarneauville, Alberta, Canada, to Asher and Adelia Effie Davey Chapman. she married Shelby Cook on June 9, 1934 in Vancouver, Wash. He died in April 1990.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Donald Cook of Eugene; two daughters, Margaret Schimel of Portland and Shelby Ann Williams of Baschor, Kan., 10 gandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Reedsport Masonic Cemetery. Arrangements by Dunes Memorial Chapel in Reedsport. Remembrances to the American Heart Association.
