Last Rites Feb 17
For Fred Wilke, 66

Funeral services for Fred J. Wilke, 66, were held Feb 17 at First Methodist church, Tipton, with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in Tipton Masonic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Leo Maurer, Russell Chapman, Ralph Wilke, Robert Mineck, Max Crawford and Don Marion. Honorary pallbearers were C. H. Banks, C.R. Sheets and James Suchomel.

Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fell and Mrs. Marvin Koch were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Wilke died at this home in Tipton Feb 14, following a heart attack.

The son of William and Marie (Grage) Wilke, he was born at Chicago Ill, July 7, 1900 and received his education in the rural Scott county schools. He was married to Clara Belle Cryder at Bennett, March 6, 1924.

He was a farmer until 1957 when he retired and moved to Tipton. He was an insurance agent.

Mr. Wilke was a member of First Methodist church, the Tipton Lions club and was a director of the White Piegeon Insurance Association.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Jean) Wegener, Tipton; 3 brothers, elmer and William, Tipton and Rudolph, Louisville, Ky.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Flora Chapman, Stanwood and Mrs. Frank (Maida) Wilke, Hudson Lake, Indiana and 3 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife in a auto accident in October 1965 and a sister in infancy.
