*George spelled his last name, 'Mingel', rather than 'Mingle' the way many of his relatives spelled their last name.



Geroge E. Mingel, 69, 1517 Chess, died at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Wichita Veterans
Hospital.

Death followed a lingering illness. Hd had been in the hospital for treatment
several times and last entered about a month ago.

He was born at Rock Falls, Ill. on Oct. 26, 1883 and was married to Ann Evans at Hot
Springs, S. Dak. on Oct. 5, 1932. The family came to Parsons 10 years ago from
Leavenworth and during World War II he was employed as an x-ray technician at the
Kansas Ordnance Plant.

Survivors include the wife; three daughters, Dixie A., Nancy I. and Mary L., all of
the home, and one sisters, Mrs. Nell Anderson, Temple City, Calif.

Services will be at the Carson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the
