Mr. Durington retired from civil service at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, where he worked as a welder for almost 30 years. He also owned and operated Bill Durington Upholstery. He was a member of Blue Lakes Baptist Church and was an ordained deacon. He married Virginia McGehee in August of 1952 in Johnston county.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Mary Durington, and a brother, Doug Lowry.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Billy Durington and wife Elaine, and Michael Durington; a daughnter, Donna Martin and husband Kelly; a brother, Bob Durington and wife Frankie; a sister Betty Durington, and four grandchildren.
Services were directed by Primrose Funeral Service, Norman.
