Funeral services held April 15 for Lela Mae Jackson - Lela Mae Jackson was born December 17, 1910 to Willis Crowley and Bessie Lou Barnes Crowley in Black Bear, Idaho and departed this life April 12, 1987 at the Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton, Missouri at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 26 days. She was united in marriage to Carl F. Jackson on December 10, 1930 and resided most of their married life in Bates County, Mo. To this union one daughter was born. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister. She is survived by her husband, Carl of the home, her daughter, Theresa Louise Stewart and son-in-law, Jimmie Dale Stewart of Newton, Iowa, two sisters, Emma Thompson of Prosser, Washington and Essie VanWinkle of Sunnyside, Washington, one brother, George Crowley of Hayden Lake, Idaho; two granddaughters, Jane Renae Stewart of Newton, Iowa and Diana Lynn Stewart of Austin, Texas one grandson, Kevin Bradley Stewart of Newton, Iowa and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services were held at the Atkinson Chapel, Adrian, Mo. On Wednesday, April 15, 1987, at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Phillip Jones and Elder Vance Smith officiating. Casket bearers were Kevin Stewart, Jimmie Stewart, Wesley Jackson, Marvin Jackson, Tom Hockett and Bob Moles. Burial was in Adam Howe Cemetery, Amoret, Missouri.
