A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Raymond Prejean Jr., 49, on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 3:00PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Paul Broussard officiating. Visiation will begin on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 1:00PM until 9;00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM and will resume on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 8:00AM until time of services. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

A native and resident of Erath, Raymond died on Monday, August 24, 2009 at his residence. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved dogs.

He was survived by his parents, Raymond Prejean Sr. and Lovelyn Suire Prejean of Erath; his brother Jade Prejean of Abbeville; sisters Rena Joyce Bertrand, of Abbeville, Mary Grace Champagne of Erath, Tina Prejean of Erath,and Wendy Mier of Erath, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Raylyn Prejean.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Steen, Gage Prejean, Tony Breaux, Stern Cormier, Chance Landry and James Guillory. Honorary pallbearers will be David Mier and Timothy Steen.
