Obituary
Capt. James Gibble Rumley who has been engaged in the Coasting Trade of this port for some twenty five years, died at Georgetown, S.C., on the 22nd instant, his remains were brought here on monday on the Steamer Planter. He was in command of the Steamer Farmer of the line of steamers employed in the Pee Dee trade by Messrs. Ravenel, Holmes & Co. The deceased was a native of North Carolina, and was forty nine years of age. The remains were interred at Magnolia Cemetery. The following gentlemen acting as pall bears; Capt. Matthew Revel, Capt. John Flynn, Capt. F. D. Phillips, Capt. Edward Davenport, Capt. Ramsden And Capt. Harvey.
