"Obituary of Nellie Krantz
Nellie Harriet Krantz was born in Utah, Warren Co., Ill. Feb. 21, 1906. There she was baptized and became from infancy a member of the Lutheran church at Henderson Grove. With her parents she moved to this community in 1912. In 1921 she was confirmed by Rev. M. A. Johnson. She died Thursday evening, July 7th, at the Mr. Pleasant Memorial Hospital, at the age of 21 years, 4 months and 26 days. She leaves to mourn her youthful death: her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Krantz; two sisters: Mrs Esther Johnson of Chillicothe, Ill, and Tillie Krantz; seven brothers: Laurence, Carl, Elmer, Ralph, Virgil, Ernest and Walter.
Funeral services were held at Swedesburg, Sunday afternoon, July 10th. Her pastor, Fev. Elmquist, conducted the services. The following quartette sang several appropriate songs: Thelma Lundquist; Mrs. C. H. Johnson, Hartwin Alvine, Bernt Benson. The pall bearers were: Laurence Barquist, Wesley Olson, Raymond Hultquist, Carl Nordquist, Philip Ingmanson and Hugo Ostberg.
The body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Henderson Grove, Ill."
