Fred B. Eastman, 82, Cavalier, ND, died Friday, April 5, 1991, in the United Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Fred B. Eastman was born August 14, 1908, in Svold, ND, the son of Sigurbjorn "Barney" and Kristin Eastman. He attended area rural schools and Cavalier High School. He farmed in the area and was a partner in a car and farm machinery dealership in Cavalier. He also was a home building contractor. He married Jane Healy Sept. 19, 1929, in Mountain, ND. They owned a bowling alley and Dairy Queen in Walhalla, ND, and established Eastman Mobile Home Sales.

Survivors are his wife; son, Kenneth, Mayville, ND; daughter, Marilyn (Cecil) Watson, Cavalier, ND; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Emily (Ted) Magnusson, LaMesa, CA and Runa (Ernest) Sveen, Edinburg, ND.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew and Dan, and sister, Johanna Quist.

Funeral service: 2 pm Monday, April 8, 1991, in the Cavalier Presbyterian Church, Cavalier, ND.
A family service will be held in at 10 am on Monday, April 8, 1991, in Hallson Lutheran Church, rural Cavalier.
Burial at the Hallson Cemetery.
