Mrs. Leah Bender, widow of Kinzer D. Bender, died at the home of her grandson, Rev. Theodore W. Bare. pastor of the Methodist Church at Fairfield, this county, on Tuesday. Death was due to infirmitied due to o.d age, she being in her eighty-seventh year. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and was a prominent resident of Upper leacock township. The surviving children are: Mrs. Emma Diehm, of Intercourse, and Mrs. Anna Sutton, of Dover Delaware, and a son, Kinzer D. Bender, Jr., of Leola. Two sisters also survive, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, of Emporia, Kansas, and Mrs. Mary Fichthorn, of Lebanon. The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence of Rev. Bare, and at Heller's Church yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock, where interment was made.
