Gary Prescott Anderson 1939 ~ 2006 Gary Prescott Anderson, age 66, passed away surrounded by his loving family at his home on April 24, 2006. Gary was born on October 3, 1939 in Kamas, Utah, the son of Cleo Daniel and Gladys Prescott Anderson.

He married Roma Lea Harris on April 26, 1957 in Oakley, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on August 27, 2005. Gary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held numerous positions within the church. He was a home teacher, elder, and ward physical facilities representative.

He was a member of various riding and hunting clubs. Gary loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed farming, ranching, horses, chariot racing, and most importantly, he enjoyed spending time supporting his grandchildren, and great grandchildren in all of their activities and sporting events.

Gary was a member of the operating engineers local union #3. He was especially proud of his work ethic, and sought after perfection in his work, as he associated and taught his sons the skill of the trade.

He is survived by his loving wife, Roma, of Oakley, UT; sons, Brent Anderson and Jeff (Deby) Anderson, both of Oakley, UT; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Anita (Wayne) Smith of Salt Lake City, UT.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, a son, Clint, a brother, Ron, father in law, Jay, and brother in law, Bill.

Viewing will be held on Friday, April 28, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the Peoa-Oakley Chapel and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 12:00 Noon at the Peoa-Oakley Chapel, with Bishop Howard Sorensen officiating.

Interment will follow services at the Oakley Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas, Utah.
