Universalist Watchman and Christian Repository, Sep 27, 1845:

In Marshfield on the 3d inst., Josiah, son of David and Hannah Huntington, aged 16 months. Also on the 12th inst., Eliza Elizabeth, daughter of the same parents, aged 2 years and 5 months. Truly the hand of affliction rests heavily upon this family. With the short space of nine days have they been called to part with two lovely and fondly-cherished children. But they mourn not as those without hope; -believing that their loss is the gain of their "loved and lost." Young and tender, yet the pride, joy and hope of their parents, thus early in the morning of their existence, they have bidden adeiu to earth, to join the angelic hosts above. Then to be watched by the eye of a heavenly Parent, and to be reared to maturity under the culture of Divine Love.

"They died to sin, to wo and care;
Yet for a moment felt the rod;
Then, springing on the viewless air,
Spread their light wings, and soared to God."
